Eyelash Extensions and Fillers

The Lowdown

So what are Eyelash Extensions?

If you ever dreamed of having long amazing eyelashes, then Eyelash Extensions are a good option for you!  Eyelash Extensions are semi-permanent eyelash augmentation.  It’s the process of adding synthetic to natural material (Silk or Mink Hair) to you existing eyelashes attached using a semi-permanent especially engineered adhesive to your existing eyelashes.

There are three types of lash extensions: synthetic, silk and mink. Size availability ranges from 6mm to 17mm. Once selected, the lashes are applied one at a time using a specially formulated, semi-permanent glue that will not irritate the eye nor damage the

Take less time getting ready and spend more time doing the things you love. Eyelash extensions are not only convenient, but they allow your lashes to be enhanced in length, curliness and thickness.

The eyelash extensions may be made from several materials including mink or synthetic. Before application, talk to one of our specialists about how you’d like your eyelashes to look. Our specialist can help you choose the perfect set for your needs that complements your eye shape.

1. Eyelash extensions are NOT the same as temporary lashes.

Semi-permanent lashes are applied by a technician who hand-glues the extensions on top of your natural lashes. With proper care, they can last for six to eight weeks until they naturally fall out.

2. Eyelash techniques are constantly evolving.

Whereas the classic, most widely used technique involves applying a single lash extension over your natural lash, the Russian Volume technique is a newer trend where the technician places up to eight ultra-fine extensions onto each natural eyelash for a feathery, fanned-out effect.

3. Extensions aren’t a one-size-fits-all situation.

So you want amazing eyelashes?  Not everyone is created equal. The type of lashes you can get all depends on the length and strength of your natural lashes.  Wearing lashes that are too long or too thick for your lashes can actually cause damage in the long run, so you need to make your sure your extensions aren’t too much longer or thicker than your natural lashes.”

Mink Eyelash Extensions

The main difference between them comes down to their firmness, are they real fur, faux fur or are they synthetic?  Real mink lashes usually last longer because they are so light as well as being able to apply several mink extensions per natural lash.

Synthetic Eyelash Extensions

The most common lash extension, synthetic lashes are usually the first lash extension women try, whether they’re strips or individual lashes.

Synthetic lashes are usually a go to when a client is going for a more dramatic look or if they’re merely on a budget and need the lashes for a one night only occasion. Synthetic lash extensions differ from mink extensions in a couple of ways: Synthetic lash extensions aren’t as natural looking due to the glossy and shinier appearance of the lashes.

There is a significant difference between synthetic and mink eyelashes

Synthetic lash extensions are budget-friendly, and you can get a pair of the falsies for affordable prices vs. paying hundreds of dollars at a time for mink lash extensions. Synthetic lashes are true to their name, and due to the material they’re made up of, they provide a very coarse and blunt texture.

Synthetic lashes may not last you as long as the mink lashes since they are not as natural and ultimately look fake due to the material and the glossy shine that the synthetic extensions have. Synthetic lashes are only meant to be worn once and disposed of afterward whereas mink extensions can be worn multiple times and still keep their natural look and shape.
